rediscover posted:ya i enjoyed it at first bc good metroidvanias are hard to come by these days and i wanted to believe but the more i played it the more i realized the game is really bad and misses the mark by a lot. the movement upgrades are awful abnd dont even get me started aobut the bosses.. I knew it was a major fail the moment like 30 seconds in when I couldn't shoot at an angle and move at the same time, like it was still 1988.

These auto scrolling levels where you have 3 paths and 2 of them will kill you with no one of knowing which is which, are purestrain AIDS. Otherwise this has been a good Kirby game and the first one I've played since Crystal Shards came out.

Also I felt the same way. In fact, when I first PW I stopped after an hour and played MGS3 again instead, but i stuck with it on my second attempt and it ended being one of my fave MG's. Good luck.

The SNES version is flawless, as someone who just recently did a 96 exit playthrough on that version. The GBA version of Yoshi's Island kinda sucks so I imagine SMW is similarly disappointing.
