For some reason I can never find coffee filters to buy in any shops near me. I thought it would be a no-brainer to have them hanging in the coffee aisle alongside all the filter coffees, but nope. I've had to order them online every time.

Yeah, ideally I'd like to go to the Central Highlands or an island like Islay (for two sides of the coin), but I don't drive so that's quite tricky. My feeling is that from Glasgow I could at least have a day at Loch Lomond/on Arran or something. I have been to Glasgow before but not for a long time now. I know it's not the most attractive city but I know a few people who live there, so that's always a nice plus to have. I've wanted to check out Kelvingrove for a while too. I'm double vax'd and was already very insistent about washing my hands regularly before people started dying so if I come up there I'll be good!! Just wanted to know if I was still a terrible person for wanting to go somewhere.

I'll stick somewhere closer to home I think. You’re not terrible. I suggest going to Pitlochry or Aviemore or Oban or Callander and renting a bicycle and enjoying the outdoors. Kelvingrove is nice for two hours that’s it. Not worth going to Glasgow for.

I have thoroughly enjoyed glasgow every time I have been and have not been knifed once despite being criminally southern my town is also rough though so my tolerance may be elevated. for allegedly rough places I mean, not being stabbed. very low tolerance for that

one of my slides will be like this is the most finger-graffitied van i ever have seen this is the most broken playground and this is two blokes having a fight. one of them was riding a little girl's bike past this corner shop when the other one ran out and knocked him off and started fighting him for the little girl's bike, or possibly just for the plastic bag he had in the little basket on the front

My summer holiday this year is a 3 day trip to Leeds in September with my brother and his wife, for his 40th. All of us double vaccinated, yeah ok we're going to be taking some small risks by going to pubs and restaurants - but compared to going overseas, as far as I see it it's no more risky than going to the pub in Reading. So in my opinion, as long as you take the precautions that you'd normally be taking, masking up when indoors etc, and don't go clubbing, swinging or dogging, it's no worse than going out to whichever large town is your closest.
