Sitting at home waiting for my lunch to finish cooking, I had to head home for a bit because I have a home coronavirus test and I need to book the courier for tomorrow, it needs to be booked before 3pm and i finish work at 4, forgot to note the code I need to book it.

I told my supervisor who, in a resigned manner, said I might as well take the rest of the week off, there's no work to do. So I think I now have control of the means of production, what should I do with it?

What is a decent way to find a good walk near me? I remember someone said the os maps are on bing but..?

Manchester area if that makes a difference. Everywhere I would normally go is tow paths which is a nope at the moment.

Komoot is an app that will calculate a walk for you based on your fitness level, I haven't used it much yet but it seems pretty good so far.

Tbh probably the best way to promote diet and exercise would be FREE professionally lead group based meetings (in person or online) with education, goal setting and some degree of accountability. Like bullshit-free weight watchers/slimming world but chaired by a dietician or sports psychologist specialising in community initiatives.

Obviously short term that's not gonna be possible, but i wonder if they could do something with semi-qualified volunteers, I'd suggest people who have successfully lost weight themselves and kept it off for x years, with a short training course so they don't end up giving bad advice or encouraging eating disorders.

I was referred by my GP to an exercise program run through my local gym, to help with depression. I met with a trainer for half an hour every fortnight for a few months, they suggested an exercise regime and measured my weight and body fat with some electrodes and a machine.

Over those months I lost about half my weight in fat and put on a shitload of muscle, mainly because I had a) a regime to follow and b) someone checking up on me. As soon as the program stopped I reverted to how I was before.

It won't work for everybody, but hiring trainers and expanding programs like that would do a world of good. Way more than moving the loving chocolate in a supermarket.

I made vegan brownies, they taste great but they're far too gooey, only half of them make it out of the tin without disintegrating.

Recipe plzzzzzz

It's simple enough for me, a dunce, to make, I think:

140g plain flour
20g cocoa powder
200g caster sugar
80ml vegetable oil
1tsp vanilla extract
200g dairy free chocolate, melted
240ml almond milk

Line a 20cm baking tin with greaseproof paper. Preheat oven to 180c (160 fan).
Whisk the flour, cocoa and sugar in a mixing bowl.
Add the oil, vanilla, chocolate and milk and stir gently, just til all the flour pockets are vanquished.
Put all that in the tin and bake for 25-30 mins.

You can leave the tin to cool for a bit and then put in the fridge to firm them up, this makes them gooey as hell though.

kecske posted:

eat them directly from the tin with your hands imo

If you've got an elastic loop mask where the strings go around your ears, when you put it on flip the elastic strings so they form an x on the side of your face, it'll help keep the mask down and out of your eyes.
