This just in from Rhoemer's Stronghold. 10:48 PM - Lunethex: wtf 10:48 PM - Lunethex: I got blown up by a grenade and the emulator crashed. 10:49 PM - Lunethex: (while recording) If you recall in episode 2 I have that issue with the terrain stretching getting in front of the screen, this level is lousy with it. I couldn't see him throw it. I noticed it too late when he looked all smug standing there ok thanks for listening to my story. see you on Tuesday with the next video.

I just started the sequel and I've enjoyed the first three levels. But how does the two- player work? Is it like co-op?

FinalGamer posted:Rhoemer is a pretty massive poo poo and sadly the biggest problem of the game is the odd texturing terrain stretch that all PSX games have a real problem with. It's an emulator thing, and if there is a way to fix it I haven't experimented enough. I tried all my foolproof methods with the plugins and it still pops up. I don't think it should pop up in the second and third games though, maybe it's just part of SF1's development hell quirks.

I have the PSN version of the game for PS3 and I don't recall any screen tearing from the missions I played (I think I got up to the base), so definitely a PC emulator issue.

Update 04 - The Passion of the Taser Syphon Filter Episode 4 - Rhoemer's Stronghold|(54:45) Markinson deploys Gabe to Rhoemer's Medical Stronghold in Ukraine to find Phagan in order to learn the location of PHARCOM's computer systems used in creating the Syphon Filter virus. In memory of Lian Xing, Logan ups the voltage a tad on his taser and with a few tactical back pats lets all the test subjects know the world will be saved soon. quote:10:48 PM - Lunethex: wtf Lunethex fucked around with this message at 23:16 on Sep 22, 2015 |

So, firstly, thank you so much for an hour-long upload, this is the perfect time for me to watch it after work when I'm all tired out ready for more fun. Second, holy poo poo how edgy was this game to have its titular viral weapon being quite literally the Hitler virus for all racists to target all and ANY minorities specifically? When I found out that a lot later being repeated in other games because I couldn't hear this game very well as a kid, I was like "woah this poo poo got toooo real for me " and it made me love the game even more. I...enjoy your additions to improving this game's taser run. I actually totally forgot about this level and now I'm having flashbacks to Lea Monde hoping that Logan fights a minotaur or some repossessed armour. Man, that catacomb level was a brick wall for me for the longest time. And the cathedral levels are so much fun when you miss one of the test subjects or scientists and have to backtrack for god knows how long. I love this series but this set of levels are a real rough patch. Fortunately, it gets better from here on out.

I really like this level - even the stealth part! - but two really long, really hard escort quests in a row? God drat it game. At least its where I learned to love the K3. And it looks like you already knew this since you seem to do it a couple times but rolling during a long fall can save you from dying, unless its from a really tall height. The trick is getting the timing right, because if you're too early then you're just rolling to your death instead of just running to it.

I don't want to spoil anything too specific but now that I think of it learning how to do it might actually be necessary in a future section because it was the point where I finally learned about it.

I'm thinking of a double episode to finish out SF1 because after doing some pretty rad editing on the second to last episode, I just don't feel good leaving everyone hanging for a rather short sequence afterwards, the game is almost over and SF2 is on the horizon. So I'm going to go ahead and record the last three levels of SF1 and hopefully I can get it all posted on Wednesday, or Thursday at the latest. Also this happened. quote:11:59 PM - Lunethex: WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It goes without saying that everyone is wearing flak armor. But, surprisingly, I'm not having too much difficulty! (yet) e. Ok i take that loving back. what the gently caress, the last moment of the game holy poo poo I can't stop laughing. This is gonna be a great finale I love this game and this thread, and all of you. SF2 is going to be so great, I can feel it When I put together the first episode (before this double idea) I was so, so excited to record ASAP, and now this video happened, and YES everything is great, I can't wait. I loved these games, SF2 especially. The gameplay actually reminds me of Hotline Miami more than anything, everything's going crazy and you die a million times but once you've learned where all the enemies are and how to deal with each one you just sort of get in the zone and handle it all like a badass.
