the picture? heh how'd you get city on his face

i thought there would be some really simple and elegant solution where you blend certain channels of colours together or whatever, but actually you just delete the background on the head image layer, make a mask, and apply that mask to whatever image you want on top

the keys to making it look good seem to be using really clean source images with nice even backgrounds so they can be cut out easier, and tweaking your levels/contrast etc to make various details more evident

I want to try something like this next;

but i need to assemble more source material

This is the only double exposure I've ever done

And that was on a 5Diii which I guess doesn't count either

I get the whole "analogue only" thing but for me it's the difference between making things daily or getting a roll of film developed once a year

i think the effect isnt so much that one image is overlaid on the other, its the way the background is neutral

you can screen/overlay/burn the two images together however you want, but without a clean background you dont have a silhouette.

is that vectorised text?

if so play with a few points/paths so the S's dont match so exactly imo
it will give more visual impact to the word "rear end"

POST YOUR OLD MEDIA SUCCESS STORIES

i knew a guy who used to work in vision-mix for one of the cable news channels over here and he needed a cool storm photo for some kind of weather segment they were doing up on short notice

he ripped a photo of mine off facebook and put it on the news and only told me about it weeks later at a BBQ. Would have been fun to see it but AS IF i have cable tv

also i made a poster for a live theatre production that was in a local newspaper
