He's actually +2 on strokes gained putting, and he's nearing 80% GIR. Putting isn't a problem. His scrambling has been bad - 45% compared to a field average of 53%. I'm sure he'd like to have made a few more, but he's not in a bad position. In fact, it might even be preferable to the circus the last pairing (Spieth/Day) will be.

I've always wanted to record a tournament or two and then edit the footage so that it's just players walking. Without clubs in their hands if possible. Just the long takes of guys walking up fairways with determined looks on their faces or pausing over their ball while waiting, all shots without the ball or caddie or anything. Then jump cutting past their shot and it's just them or other players walking. No golf is ever shown. Putting stats like "19k today. 4th all time for a Canadian". and stuff under them. Spieth's short game is just ridiculous. Even though he can't pump out the 350+ yard bombs when he needs to like some of the other guys, he's just so freakin consistent with his wedges and putter. He's got the type of skills that make you think he'll contend in pretty much every event he plays in.
