Is the Windows tablet thread really dead? Is there no successor? My 1st generation Microsoft Surface Pro is aging something fierce. I put it in a backpack with a connected type cover 2 and some books one day. It wasn't under too much pressure but now the touch screen doesn't work consistently. Using my finger it sometimes jumps all over the place like this image taken in Paint:  But it's not consistent. Sometimes it still works fine like this:  I noticed it after this backpack trip but also after a Windows update, so I do't know which caused it. Google isn't helping either. I also installed linux mint on it but the grub menu doesn't show up so i can't properly test it. The Haus of Tech Support hasn't given me any answers so I might just have to make a reddit account to post on the surface or surface linux subreddit, but I thought we had threads for this. =/ Any advice on what to do or where to post? I would like my touchscreen to work consistently!
