That closed space stuff sure sounds interesting. I'm sure it won't take most of the rest of the season for that to be explained or anything. E: I mean it's explained right when it should be explained, but I still remember it being really confusing and kind of frustrating the first time through. I did like how they did the extortion scene in the LN's where they had Kyon take the pictures because it kind of showed how much of a hypocrite he could be. As for the more annoying thing about the LN's... Well, you know how there are all of these one-off episodes? Imagine just reading a book that's like three of those in a row with no actual plot advancement or connection between them. It gets kind of irritating that he author's done that multiple times. Also Disappearance is still the best, in animation or print.

For whoever cares about differences in the LN, rather than the montage of games, they all got really drunk off of wine and Kyon and Haruhi did...something that Kyon gets embarrassed about when Koizumi tells him the next morning. Haruhi ends up with a big enough hangover that she bans drinking in the brigade forever.
