my friend's son lost his 3ds 2 years ago, a month after he got it. she found it this week in the entertainment center. maybe you have an entertainment center to check, too?

mine is frequently in the back couch cushion (I stick thinks there intentionally as I am falling asleep) or under the coffee table. I have 3 of them in a end table in the office.
