the last good os x was either 10.4 (powerpc) or 10.6 (intel) and the last good ios was 6 or 7, depending ios 8 and yosemite are really bad

my dad is on 10.6 and he loves it. he is a loving old man though. lol he spent like $800 on Logic Pro back when he got his MacBook Pro in the mid 2000s or something and last year the dongle failed so he can't open it anymore and he called apple and they were all like "why not buy a new laptop" and I got to listen to the old man berate some cheerful sounding American on the phone saying that there was nothing wrong with the laptop but the software with its dongle was a piece of poo poo and somehow he came out of that conversation with a free video card replacement on his MacBook Pro mid 2000s model actually probably late 2006/ early 2007
