There's very few details when it comes to MGO. One thing is that it's 8v8 on current-gen and 6v6 on 360/PS3. There's also this trailer with commentary detailing some mechanics:

I was looking for details about Phantom Pain's online stuff specifically. Like I guess there's the whole FOB PvP thing but I was hoping there was an in depth preview somewhere. Also I'm wondering if there's anything else you can do online.

I was gonna use a controller until I did that mission where you extract the VIP via helicopter in Ground Zeroes. I couldn't hit anyone with the gamepad. Speaking of which, anyone got tips for that mission? Are you supposed to be shooting to wound or something?

Oh I ended up with an A rank but I killed 47 people. I was curious about how to S-rank it. It didn't even occur to me to check for my tranq pistol.

People who have it: is it possible/fun to go back and redo missions in different ways in the full game? Since I put like 30 hours into Ground Zeroes, it seems like this game could wind up being insanely replayable.

From what Dominic White has posted, yes. Fairly early on in the game you can start re-doing missions and those missions will be harder in various ways.

Is there a way to deploy without a primary weapon? Honestly if I could I would run the tranq pistol and the water gun, just so I can take out electronics quietly. The only other way I can find is to very very carefully utilize the limited suppressor on my rifle and take out a single communications... thing.

And for the "ADAPTIVE AI" if you do complete stealth will the enemies not get buffs, or was the adaptive thing just a bunch of marketing bullshit and they get them at certain times?

They adapt to nearly every method you can utilize. If you start doing complete stealth, I believe you will start seeing cameras, night vision goggles, and decoys. If you are using hold ups, they will start countering that eventually. If you are using noise distractions, they will start getting wise to it. The only thing that is un-counterable to my knowledge is CQC.

They decoys are pretty great. I always roll with D-Dog so when I crawl out of some place and an unmarked decoy is in front of me it still surprises me a bit. Though I heard someone say that using D-Dog kinda lets you 'ignore' a lot of the game.

Benefits of D-Horse: Can poop vehicles, vehicles will stop for him in the road, can run really fast, can appear out of nowhere, hiding on his saddle is actually surprisingly effective.

But he can't mark people, so...

I'd really like a mod that gives D-Horse the same marking capability as D-Dog. Then I would use D-Horse. Have him give a little neigh when he spots something. Also allow you to pet the horse.

Allegedly people are working on figuring out how to game the system, someone in here posted about it before. But no, for now it's randoms. Also I've invaded about 40 people and not a single retaliation or invasion. The best I got was one of the randoms I was supporting got invaded, and that dude actually managed to outsmart me with stealth. He managed to get behind me and CQC grab me. If you're just trying to get the hang of things, I suggest practicing on your own FOB non-stop until you get a feel for things. Otherwise you're going to waste a lot of resources trying to figure things out. The gameplay is the same when practicing, there's just not a risk of losing anything.

I think Subsistence should allow you to bring D-Horse. Doesn't really give you much of an advantage, though I'd love to see a mod that lets D-Horse mark people DD style, complete with little neighs for each mark. Mainly because I want to poop on roads. Maybe give DD a poop option? I would also be OK with DD being ride-able. Come on modders!

Who else keeps DD naked (fox skin of course)? Dog knife is cool and all but having him Keep 'em busy is really OP. I love coordinating an attack on two lone soldiers with DD.

My biggest question involves CQC. In the previous MGO, you had to max out your CQC in order to knock someone out in one grab. Without leveling it, people will break your grab about halfway through. This made CQC really powerful but you had to give up other stats to do it. Is something like this in MGO3?

Another of my favorite things to do was to knock someone out, and lay a porno mag next to their body so that they would be forced to look at it as soon as they woke up, and then I would knock them out again. Anything like this?

Same here. I just don't like her enough to use her. I guess you get better commands later but right now I have to give her individual firing orders on each soldier. Sometimes she hits them, sometimes not. Sometimes she even kills them somehow even though she has a tranq rifle.
