Jamais Vu wasn't nearly as bad as I feared. On normal I actually even got an S with two alerts in the final shootout; turning off reflex really is a boon for S-ranks.

I'm actually having trouble with this. :smith:

Did you concentrate on getting through quickly rather than sneaking through? Because I just managed an A rank by staying hidden with 0 alerts. Then again I did reset the last fight three times every time I got found but that was just -600 points.

edit: actually nevermind, I just S ranked it with 0 alerts.

If anyone else is struggling with it, using recoilless rifle and some pre-fight setup C4 really helps. Set the C4 around the door and remember the order you placed them so you can activate them one by one.

Actually I've run into a another issue: I can't get the achievement for collecting all tapes. I've got all the tapes mentioned here http://www.ign.com/wikis/metal-gear-solid-5-ground-zeroes/Cassette_Tapes but I haven't unlocked the achievement. I'm playing on PC if that matters at all.

Yeah, it was this. I had already picked up the tape on Deja Vu and picking it up on Jamais Vu gave me the achievement.

All I had access to was my own library.

Supposedly there is a memory leak in the emblem editor, so we will probably have to wait for a patch. If you use it, make sure you close and restart the game afterwards because it can cause crashes later on. My one and only ctd was ~20 minutes after using the editor.

Figured as much that we have to wait for a patch. Managed to make a simple BATTLE ULTRA emblem before the lag got too bad.

Otherwise the game has run pretty well. I use a i5-4670k with GTX960 2GB with 12 GB RAM and so far the game has run perfectly @ 60fps with all details on max with volumetric clouds. There are the occasional hiccups like when you walk into a side op area the game stops and loads and rarely when just riding my D-Horse in the wild. Also one of the (minor boss fight spoil) Skulls fight caused that weird tileroof overlay to display over the screen but that got fixed by restarting the game.

I think this has been said time after time again ITT but gosh the engine is such a technological marvel. It looks amazing, runs really well even on a not-top-grade setup and is really user friendly. Like most games struggle with changing sound devices mid-run but Phantom Pain just shrugs and lets you do that without having to restart the game. Or how when it runs in windowed mode and (in Win10 at least) doesn't turn to half FPS rate when the window isn't active. Or that there's the ability on multiscreen setups to select in-game which monitor the game will display on.

It's such a shame Konami will most likely not license or use FOX engine for anything ever again. :smith:

Just beat the story for real. What a ride. 84 hours, 71% completed. I've done the vast majority of side ops, completed all but two extreme and one subsistence mode missions and completed the medbay side quest. Overall I really liked the game. The story also ties into the chronological order really neatly (true ending 2nd ending spoilers) what with you, the player, being a body double for BB.

Is all that there is left to do round up rest of the side ops? I was kind of hoping there would be more side quests. Do S ranks and mission side objectives also add to completion percentage?

Also just watched the cut episode 51 Kingdom of Flies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3e0LoFh8ew. Kinda seemed that along with story, an entire gameplay area was cut completely. Is there a collection of what cut content has been confirmed missing?

Quiet was an amazing buddy and carried my rear end through Extreme Metal Archaea which is enough reason to make her my favorite character in the game. I also liked her character arc, maybe because she's the only character in the game who had one. :v:

Traders Caravan was a tough first run. I tried fighting the Skulls twice, but it was a no go. So I planted C4 on a decoy, blew one of them up, and the other three shuffled away far enough for me to Fulton the truck.

I realize now if I was going to fight them I should have done it where the convoy stops first. Not in the more compact final stop.

Is it possible to just book it to the airport and yoink the truck with less resistance?

I think it's not possible (mission detail spoiler) avoid Skulls spawning altogether. What you can do, however, is stop the convoy by, say, creating a roadblock, sneaking near the rear armored vehicle and thus activating the Skulls. Then just crawl about 90 meters away from the truck, wait for the Skulls to move closer to you (so they're at least 40 m away from the truck) and then make a large detour around so the truck is between you and the Skulls and then either fulton it or drive it away.

Stopping the convoy is actually really easy as you can just create a slight delay and then book it straight to the rear vehicle which spawns the Skulls and zombifies and thus deactivates both escort vehicles so you don't have to worry about them raining fire on you.

edit:
My go-to place to stop the convoy is the first intersection slightly northwest from the airport. There's plenty of cover there with the hills and bushes around. It's also a good place to (another mild mission detail spoiler) intercept the group of 4 elite soldiers which is a side objective if you need that.

Soldiers generated for main missions are always based on your heroism so yes, they will be leveled up.

You can blow through missions and not miss any vital side ops. But I think wormhole is unlocked via a Chapter 2 side op (the one where you hunt the Legendary Jackal.

The game honestly isn't that moddable, at least in comparison to something like Skyrim where pretty much anything flies. You can easily tweak .ini files or use cheat engine to alter values but don't expect anything game changing.
