s3e11 "Wink of an Eye"

These aliens move really fast so we can't see them and only hear them speaking as buzzing like insects.

They accelerate Kirk and he learns of their plan to steal the Enterprise.

Kirk tries to communicate with Spock but Spock can't understand his accelerated speech. He records a taped (lmao using tapes in tyool 2366) message but it takes Spock a long time to figure out to play the message at high speed.

Why couldn't he just write Spock a note or something. Do they not have notepads in the future.

Maybe this is why we shouldn't be so eager to go to a paperless society, in case of situations like this.

Think about this next time you laugh at grandma for printing out an e-mail.

Why didn'Kirk catch fire just by walking around? I can't imagine the amount of hydraulic pressure that would have built up in his body simply by moving that fast.
