Federer is a fraud.

If you examine the scores of the top fighter aces in WW2 you'll notice they are invariably German and, more tellingly, they served on the Russian front in the early years of the conflict. Stalin's misguided trust in Hitler meant his armed forces were woefully unprepared to resist a well trained and battle-hardened army sweeping towards Moscow. In air fighting terms this meant that the veteran German pilots were able to rack up huge scores against under-trained Soviet pilots flying obsolescent aircraft.

If you look at Federer's career you'll see a similar trajectory.

Three and four set victories over legends such as Marat Safin, Marcos Baghdatis, Mark Philippoussis.....

Then all of a sudden Nadal appears on the scene and things begin to even out.

In comparison Djokovic's record is much more impressive. Nine out of his ten GS titles have been at the expense of either Murray, Nadal or Federer....a crop of players that far exceeds in quality anything Federer had to face while he was building up steam.

Shame about the drugs though.
