I really really didn't like the end of Love Live Sunshine. The recounting the entire story is ridiculous and I got second-hand embarrassment so hard I had to pause the video several times to get over it. If they had to do something like that, it should have been a much quicker "I'm X, and at first I wanted to be an idol because I wanted to be special" "I'm X, and at first I didn't want to be an idol because I felt I wasn't good enough" -- they could've kept the humor with then Dia going "I didn't want to be an idol because I felt everyone else wasn't good enough!!" or something, and/or had other nice parallels with "I didn't want to be a school idol because we had failed before / I wanted to be a school idol because we had failed before!"--and then ended with everyone saying simultaneously "but this is why we are school idols!" or something. And thematically, I felt it would have been better if the school did sing along. If Chika knowingly disqualified herself and her group because the point of Aqours was their success was due to the goodwill of the town, which is something she comes to understand over the cour. Doing something for the sake of other people, for the sake of their town, together, shines brighter than chasing glory. And for her to throw away her chance at her original selfish desire to be something special and put out there why they are idols, which is to shine bright for their small, forgotten town because it's a great place. I dunno, I felt like seeing a school idol group intentionally disqualifying themselves for the sake of their school and the rest of the school joining up would have made a good impression on people. Whelp I just spent like, almost 200 dollars' worth of loveca trying to get Fairy aka Best Nico. And all I get are literally my three least favorite girls. Initial SSR, three SR, and bad-tier UR. I mean, even if Valentine v2 Rin is still a UR, it ruins my BiBi aesthetic (well maybe not really) especially since then my May Hanayo would have to be center to take advantage of the 6% to 1st years leader skill... Or should I trash her for the seal for a UR down the road...? Idol management is hard.

SHIIIINNYYY!!!!! I think this is my first time getting two UR in a pull. That Angel Mari is drat near basically the second-best cool scorer in the game, and (both! I have that SR in my present box!) smile Mari goes perfectly with how my (  ) Job Dia ()'s center skill is upping the 3rd years. Man the year-based team center skill is so much better than the subunit one. It made me belatedly realize it's kind of a shame Guilty Kiss is so boss, because they're the only subunit without two members from the same year. (Lily White was like that too)

To amuse myself having to play AWAKEN THE POWAA YEY 500 times, I'd try to have the song match up with the anime, which is how I realized the song in the game took out Leah and Sara's parts with all of Aqours. Replaced their background vocals with Aqours members. Kinda... not cool?

Soooooo on the advice of someone to start playing the jp server for practice since they have more songs and I can't tell when I'm doing bad playing Bandori, I did. And decided I'd reroll for a 4* starter. Uh, first try got what seems to be the event Eve?  She's not my favorite, so... I'm kind of tempted to keep rerolling? Someone talk me out of it? Is it a good card? Did I just loving use up all my drat gacha luck for the next year, RIP Maki birthday box???

MAKI MAKI MAAAAAA I consider it fate that I had just enough loveca for all three pulls.    And for shits and giggles did one scout in the special Maki box.  Eh. Not too bad. With the Animal Maki UR I got from the UR pull box I was able to level her up to skill level five and level ice cream ssr maki from 3 to four. Now I wait with bated breath for EN.

My Maki LoveLive Solo Collection CD set came in! It's interesting how her voice changes. For Music S.T.A.R.T its in its flandarized nasality, but for the second OP it's not hypernasal. She also sings higher than I thought on a lot of the songs--it makes me wonder how they record them. Does each singer sing the entire thing, and then they mix it/decide who the solo and groups are, or are certain parts written for certain singers? For example, on Aa Mujou, she sings higher than Mimorin, which surprised me (checking against their Final Love Live performance), but she's in unison with Soramaru's part. As someone who can belt (WAAAANDERFUUULLL) I would expect her chest voice to be more prominent? And I don't know if she does it intentionally, but she sounds a heck of a lot like Rippi during the latter's parts. And she definitely is channeling Nanjo's vibrato/tremolo (can't decide which. It's certainly not a normal vibrato) on Angelic Angel. And dang, I've never liked Sentimental Steps, but Pile sings it beautifully, contrasting a brighter tone for Honoka, more straight for Umi's line, and more 'sweet'/honestly more nasal sounding for Kotori's. It was also kind of funny. I reflexively flinched towards the ends of lines at the beginning, expecting that awful pitch slide up that Aqours and Riko specifically are guilty of, indicative of either a dumb encouraged vocal habit or poor-to-mediocre vocal control as one forces out their air at the end of a line to breathe in for the next. But oh yeah, this is Muse. And Maki.  also I've done that paid scouting thing in Bandori and gotten my girl 4* Yukina and that 4* Rimi, pretty nice since it seems that powerful/fire/whatever will be the attribute for the next event. I am a little worried my Bandori gacha luck is being siphoned from my SIF luck.
