Artem is going to get ktfo the moment he fights someone who isn't too gunshy to take advantage of his Swiss cheese style. Gruetz left so many openings unused because he respected Artems power too much.

Hall, I don't even know Wtf. I gave him round 1, but he got sloppy hunting for the takedown in round 2, and once he got dropped that was it. I think he could have won in a third round if he'd continued to out point Saul on the feet.

That Ryan Hall fight was definitely pretty funny. I'm actually really impressed with how Conor and his coaches basically saw exactly what was needed to disarm his grappling and then showed Saul how to do it. It really reminds me of when GSP coached and he would gameplan with his fighters how to trick the opponents into fighting the way he wanted them to fight.

EDIT: You can actually see the moment in the middle of Rd1 where Saul realized Hall had nothing for him and got really pumped.

The quietest fight ever. Not a single peep from the crowd as the two Europeans fight. Could hear literally every breath from the fighters.

Saul's retarded rear end lied on his visa application and can't get into the US so Ryan Hall is fighting Artem in the finals.

Hall is a really bad matchup for Arterm. Artem is so flatfooted and plodding, his leg is there for the taking all day.

If it weren't for Artem being at Conor's gym, I bet he wouldn't care at all.
But because Artem is, I wonder if McGregor will grouse at all about Hall being unfairly handpicked for the spot. Probably no way to, with the scrutiny of his title match.

How did Hall lose again? I don't see Artem being so experienced and getting caught in one of Hall's leg locks.

Ryan Hall has trained at SBGi since filming wrapped so I'd imagine they are on fine terms.

Decision to Saul.

And depending on when Saul's issues occurred, they may have had no choice but to pick an American so they weren't reliant upon visa approval.

Yes. Saul beat Hall. He turned it into a brawl once Hall couldn't get any leg lock at all, even from a stall or a crawl. His game hit the wall. But when Saul had the gall to lie and drop the ball, Hall got the call.

He beat Hall in the quarterfinals. His opponent in the semifinals was a Polish guy, I think.

Truther Vandross

Yea, Hall lost in the quarters, but I'm guessing they wanted Hall because a) he's on the opposite team and b) no concern regarding obtaining a visa.

Weird. Not complaining as I'm a big fan of Hall's, but you'd think it'd go to the guy who made it farther.

Ryan Hall's fanbase is minuscule and mostly consists of people who are huge MMA dorks anyway.

Once shot a man in Reno.
Yeah, the guys making good money in grappling are very few and far between.

Eddie Cummings for example is like the number one guy right now in the world of no-gi leglocks and has, from an interview, admitted he now makes enough money for it not to be a big issue but he isn't rich in any kind of way and would make a lot more cash if he stayed in engineering (or lab work, I forget).

I know nothing of the grappling world but could Rousimar Palhares make any kind of money on that circuit now that's he's finished with most major MMA promotions? Or is he too retarded/scary to get anyone to show up to his seminars?
