Australia cares about Rugby at all because we can beat England and New Zealand and beat other nations that aren't complete jokes at the sport (see also: "League, Rugby"), otherwise it would have remained a Private Schoolboys sport.

It's really true; when Australia is doing well everyone points to likeable guys like David Pocock and Nick Cummins, but when Australia is busy sucking people's image of union players is centred on university-aged Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey.
