Judging from their Episode Breakdown they are changing a fair amount of the footage, voices and music in pursuit of their Parody.

Essentially Funi/Toei isn't going to yell at them because DBZA from all reports is doing more good for them than harm. They aren't making any money off of the episodes themselves, and only make money from patreon, and videos based on the parodies of characters. And holy poo poo the fan backlash wouldn't be worth it.

Also the poo poo they are doing now is like 20+ years old.

If they were abridging Super right now then it may be a different story. But the original series is old poo poo for the most part.

How much you believe that is up for debate and they'd probably lose in court if it Toei/Funi wanted to do it, but they probably have some agreement with Funi espeicially considering one of them was voicing characters in the Games and Resurrection F.

not really, Goku is acting the exact same as he's done whenever he's been asked to do "normal" human stuff before. They may have more of it, but this isn't the first time and the Dub has handled those moments fine before. It'll be fine now. Sean Schemmel is a capable voice actor lol.

(It isn't just him, Chi-Chi is the same way where she's just Angry Wife in the dub.) I doubt anyone who only watched the dub would tell you Goku and his wife were basically Country Folk.

Chi-Chi is p much just stereotypical portrayal of an overbearing japanese wife/mom in the Japanese version too.

As someone's who's watched both the Dub and Sub of this dumb show so many times, there really isn't much of a difference in portrayal of the characters.

So why in Trunks' universe did Babidi and Dabura show up (I assume about) 20 years later than they did in the main timeline? Just because in the main timeline the Z Fighters weren't all dead so they could follow their power levels to Earth?

It would have taken them forever to gather the energy. No Tournament of super powerful people to leech, and considering the Androids killed a ton of people. and the only person with a large amount of energy is Trunks. They would have eventually had to run into him. And unlike Gohan, Goku and Vegeta he doesn't gently caress around.

Gohan is generally considered to have the highest battle potential out of any of the Z-Fighers. He just doesn't give a poo poo about fighting. And Videl (was) probably the strongest human who wasn't a member of the Z fighters. She went from not knowing anything about Ki to learning how to fly in like 2 weeks or some poo poo.

Is it really that Surprising that his Kid is going to have a ton of power?
