I can't wait to see what crazy reasons they come up with why a precinct captain and a mystery writer are out on cases and chasing suspects. This show has also been running so long that in season 3 a Syrian diplomat helped stop the dirty bomb. How times have changed

I like to think Castle and Person of Interest take place in the same universe where SUV's full of heavily armed mercenaries are just a regular thing for New York.
