yeah of course

but in more densely populated areas like apartments and townhouses, 2.4 ghz wifi is essentially useless. ive had to help so many friends discover their routers can do 5 ghz and suddenly the can actually use the internet connection theyre paying for instead of just wondering why their wifi cuts out constantly

also no idea why the standards body allowed for 40 mhz 802.11n in 2.4 ghz, there's always some moron that has that turned on and is taking up 66% of the usable spectrum with his lovely linksys router
