Ah, so that's how Ryan Murphy is gonna screw this one up. I was really hoping for a "no direct sequel" second season. Though the article is obviously ambiguous as to whether it's the same hospital the Chanels ended up in.

This honestly feels like they're using the same formula AHS used with it going from a home to an asylum and just going from a dormitory to a hospital. gently caress. I don't want it to be canceled and it already had lovely viewing numbers.

Coven and Freakshow started with a purpose and devolved into utter poo poo. Hotel started being stupid and inconsistent right off the bat.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it was still pretty bad. Unlike Freakshow and Coven though, there were a couple of characters who weren't completely terrible, and the are played by some of the best actors in the cast. (Peters / O'Hare / Bates)

Hotel was very dumb at times, but I think you may be smoking crack if you think it was less coherent than Coven or even Freakshow. Hotel at least had storylines throughout that all tied up (in dumb or messy ways, or predictable) in the end and all worked into the main Countess plot by the time it was over. It was a lot of style over substance but far less so than 3 or 4 imo.
