Yeah this, like Minority Report, is being ruined by the procedural format that every 'new' story type has been wrapped around.

Just take a look at anything that's generally critically acclaimed and it is either completely anti-procedural or started off procedural before launching into large story-ark territory.

The only thing that'll stop this from being a massive chore to watch is if they quickly segue into much bigger stories instead of crime of the week poo poo.
