quick note for people who want the controls to feel more like smash: if you hit the wrench button on your character portrait at the character select you can change the controls. there are options for turning tap jump on and one for turning strong attack on or off. turning strong attacks on means you can do a smash attack input with just the regular attack button to get the strong attack to come out
