*If you don't already know what that is then please just disregard this post, I don't want to be the one responsible for introducing you. also don't look it up at work.

I feel like you're really selling the 'slab short here- they've somehow managed to get dozens of different projects headed by small teams of amateurs to all interoperate in a shared framework and have released much more usable content to the public than the Star Citizen team has so far despite being totally unfunded. I mean even in terms of producing .jpgs of fantastical things that appeal strongly to a niche audience it's hard to see how Star Citizen can claim a better track record.

this is pretty rad, right up there with The Ghost That Feeds for best GB-related mashup/remix

Well to be fair that trailer did do a good job teasing their actual progress on Star Marine- it looked like janky poo poo that no reputable developer would dream of releasing and then when we "checked out" CitizenCon for more info we found it will be delayed indefinitely.

I wish we could find statistics showing the percentage of these funds that was raised by new backers vs existing.

Even if they had released such figures in the past, I'd imagine the creation of the referral program would make correctly interpreting that data difficult at this moment in time.

someone told me they accidentally hired a porn actress and only found out when hamill asked for her latest blood tests. is this true? i would like to know more

That was Ginger Lynn and Wing Commander 3, but yes it absolutely did happen and was a bit of a kerfuffle due to SAG rules regarding disclosure of medical information not lining up with the standards of the adult industry

It's been 24 days since this thread started. At 703 pages, it's on average 30 pages per day. So 750 posts per day. That's about all the math I'm doing.

probably for the best because 30 pages does not equal 750 posts :)

by my "expert" calculations we're averaging just over 4/5 of a post per minute
