I don't know how I feel about this game format. I think it can be fun but it seems like another game variant that would benefit from really short days and stream of consciousness posting. Maybe a slack temple Mafia game

The thing that makes them less interesting for me is that no one ever really has initiative to do anything pre-challenge. Like in a regular mafia game the day length forces the town to try to make a move before deadline, because a no lynch takes away any of the towns agency, and essentially gives the scum a free kill. In a temple game, especially late game, the town has no urgency to make anything happen, which can lead to a game dragging on way past the point that anyone is interested in the game any more. I feel like a deadline on making a challenge could fix this problem, say if no challenge is made by deadline the scum get to pick a player to die. It puts an onus on the town, which I feel is really important in a mafia game to keep the flow moving.
