Washer is good, I'd missed that. I still like bill better though.

Or "dish", maybe. And thinking of that makes me feel good enough to not wait more, sorry BonHair: ##GUESS BILL ##PASS (fake edit: I almost tried to guess dish, which threw me back towards considering waiting again )

Trunk seems obvious, and I like swing because they hang from trees. But I also think there's something called a tree cricket, so maybe that too?

Yeah, trunk has to be. I like swing a lot more than cricket, and I don't see any other possibilities either. ##GUESS TRUNK

Noooooooo!!! This was the full list: Tail Platypus Box Tooth Maple Undertaker England Loch Ness Plot Lap Code Washer Port Africa Amazon Flute :nb: Thief Swing Bill Fork Trunk Nail Glass Cricket King I'm sure there was some way to link Nail with Plot and Thief but I couldn't figure it out. With the location clue, I thought there was a chance you'd pick Africa but given that 3 out of the 4 locations were ours and Africa was just a bystander, it wasn't too much of a risk, and you'd probably pick them up later anyway.

Flute was the assassin. Yeah I went through a bunch of heist movies trying to find a link to Nail, but came up short. The best I found was The Italian Job which has nail backwards in it, but that seemed a little too subtle.

Crowbar might have gotten nail and thief, but then plot's a bit of a stretch. Hm... And yeah, good thought on your location clue.

To be fair, getting out 7 answers in three clues with no errors is always going to be really hard unless you have some really related categories with no confusing answers. My team didn't put a foot wrong and it still came down to the wire. The location issue I thought you dealt well with. Even if Africa is guessed early, it was only a bystander and the extra guesses allowed the other locations to come up with the other clues. I was really worried about that last clue and only felt some relief when Maple dropped, allowing me to use Tree. I was aghast when my clue was being sidetracked by Star Trek! I think there's merit in going for a clue that doesn't directly link to any, but if you pause you can spot the two words needed to create it ( 'Australia' and 'land next to water' being what I needed for Botany Bay) Well played all.

To be fair, it was one person thinking Star Trek, and I don't think any of us seriously thought that's what you were going for.

Mint is an obvious first guess. Bar seems the second most likely to me - it's somewhere you could get a julep. as for the third one, i have a bunch of loose ideas: I associate mint juleps with the southern States, maybe drank by a southern Lawyer. E: why do you think spike?
