My wife and I got married at Red Rock Canyon outside of Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago. I highly recommend it. The park is gorgeous, they have a simple form to rent the location, and it was absurdly cheap. It's located in Clark County so you can take advantage of the Las Vegas wedding industry for catering, hotels, photographer, and officiant; while still be located out in nature at the park. The only thing in your description that might make it unworkable is that you want to do the wedding in July which will be really hot. Beyond that, let me know if you've got more specific questions. We didn't use a wedding planner but you may need one if you don't have a few relatives to help out with the planning. A destination wedding is a little tougher to plan on your own, since you don't know the local area. My wife had an aunt and uncle who could do some local scouting and I'm not sure that we could have done it without some kind of local assistance. More than anything, make sure that you are sharing the planning burden. It's usually too much for one person
