Killing the dude with the dog was the worst too. Like, poor Major. Can't he get a scum bag zombie to take out? No. He gets the family man with the loving kids, and the dude that just wants to walk his adorable dog.
Murdering people is one hell of a rubicon to cross too. I've not watched Rob Thomas' other shows, but I worry that eventually we'll be expected to just shrug that off and ignore the fact Major was abducting and killing people who begged for mercy. :(

I don't understand how the murder victim's character wasn't the one being written out of Zombie High given that they were filming a scene where he was shot in the heart at point blank range.

He's already dead. I think we keep forgetting they're zombies.
I know the show uses the word "undead" but its zombies seem to be alive and well. They may be some kind of mutant, but they're certainly not dead. That they can even consider the possibility of a cure that doesn't turn the body into a lifeless corpse proves that, I think?

Also, they've probably mentioned this before, but what do zombie rats eat? That one super zombie rat really wanted a piece of Ravi and Major, so they probably want human brains, but do they rat brains as well. If so, why are they more omnivorous than humans?
Maybe the more advanced the brain, the more appetizing it is? So for a rat, human would be way more appealing, and likewise human zombies might prefer a super-intelligent alien life form's brain if they could sink their teeth into it.

WONDERCON: “IZOMBIE” CAST HUNGRY FOR SEASON 3

quote:

McIver did say that she’s wanted to do a musical project since she was a young actress who guest starred on “Xena Warrior Princess” where they did an all-singing installment. But Thomas said that when they did an episode that asked Buckley to sing a little, their dream of a musical episode died.
I can't remember, have we seen an episode yet where Major tries to sing?

The new cure causes brain damage just so Major remains perpetually boned. He's back to being a zombie, and the new cure causes severe brain damage. Eat brains or go take a nap in the freezer.
Speaking of which, if Major gets amnesia will anyone know where his freezers are hidden?

I keep forgetting to ask, but what do yall think of the new convention this season of doing a foodie style prep montage for every brain dish?
There seems to be a good reason for that:

quote:

In “”Even Cowgirls Get the Black and Blues,” Liv eats the brains of a country singer/songwriter. She prepares them by country pan frying them…

In “Max Wager,” Liv eats the brain of a compulsive gambler. She prepares them as part of clams casino…

In “Hurt Stalker,” Liv eats the brain of a stalker. She prepares them as part of a celery snack (a STALK of celery)…

In “Cape Town”, Liv eats the brain of a costume vigilante. She prepares them as part of a hero sandwich…

In “Method Head,” Liv eats the brain of a TV actor. She prepares them (with hot sauce, of course, as zombies LOVE hot sauce, since their taste buds are so fried that hot sauce is one of the few things they can still really taste) as part of a TV dinner…

In “The Whopper,” Liv eats the brains of a guy who constantly told lies, or “whoppers.” She prepares them in a cheeseburger…

In “Pour Some Sugar, Zombie,” Liv eats the brain of a stripper. She prepares them in a club sandwich…

In the most recent episode, “Reflections of the Way Liv Used to Be,” Liv eats the brain of an overachiever. She prepares them in a noodle dish that led to probably my favorite pun of the season so far. Liv’s co-worker and friend, Ravi, walks by and says, “That looks like something I once ate in Taiwan. In the capital city,” to which Liv responds, “Taipei.”

Although I actually don't mind the theme song, but that's because it's short and to the point and I like the way the graphics behind it quickly covers the backstory and premise of the show.
My partner and I were thrilled that last week used a very shortened version of that thing. I don't think we've both hated a TV theme song this much since Enterprise.

Episode was great but I think unceremoniously disposing of Rita was the wrong move.
As much as I enjoy watching Blaine, it bothers me that despite all the nightmarish things he's done (including forcing women into sex slavery) he gets to be the hero while Rita was, as you say, unceremoniously disposed of.

The fact that it was Major who killed her made it even creepier. I probably should go back and re-watch it but did he at least attempt to help her escape? Part of what bothers me is it came off as if he deliberately left her behind.
