I feel like Maya is very cool when she's just trying to find good noodles to eat, and very not cool when she's relapsing to her sword addiction. I think it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking violence is cool, which is very true in many settings but in K6BD is, while inevitable, not working out so hot for everybody. Or anybody. Everyanybody. For one thing, Jags has won countless iterations of the cycle of violence. And also best character Gog-Agog is still alive, and violence against her is at the very least a gigantic pain in the rear end. BUT, it seems likely she can be defeated through the lost and forbidden art of giving her a hug and being nice to her. I'm not sure what to do about Jags, but since Maya is involved maybe they will discover the greatest of all noodle shops and present him with a ramen bowl so delicious that he can no longer justify omnicide. If you've ever had really good food, it seems possible. As for what you do with secret final boss Metatron which ????? good question

Hell yes, the acknowledgement by the omniscient that Al-yisun is who we thought she was and that her boytoy is not destined to rule the wheel this cycle. Implies she knows how it ends and that it will be in pain and blood, though, so that sucks.

I do think it's a little funny that the opening spread for the book shows Allison with prosthetics and at no point during the book did she actually receive or wear them (she'll almost certainly have them in her next appearance unless the training montage starts immediately after she lands).habeasdorkus posted:The little wave of the hand as she drops off the tower is bad. rear end.

I wish the archive navigation for this comic were better. When I choose the start of a book or a chapter from a drop-down, it makes more sense to me that you'd go to the first page of that book/chapter and not a newest-first search results page.
