I wonder if Incubus still looks halfway as pretty as he does in some of the other pictures we have seen of him? I know Mottom sure as hell doesn't, but whose to say that he may have retained his good looks. Also whose betting that every time we see one of his "consorts" it'll be a different one each time.

Okay so we have the following cast of not gods: Jagganoth- Wrath and strongest of the 7 Solomon David- Pride, Most normally named and smug of the 7 Jadis- Sloth and the prophetic one Mammon- Greed, dragon one and one with the least amount of screen time. Gog-Agog - Jealousy, worm faced one and batshit. Mottom- Gluttony and the one that Alison is on the way to stab. Incubus- Lust and David Bowie rear end hole. That's the full list, add to that we have the Devils and the 2 different types of Angels alongside all of the mercenaries planning to kill Alison for the key.

I assume that one of the big problems with the various Demiruges is that they don't have folks around them to talk stuff through. White Chain and Cio seem to be helping Alison to see the changes and try to resolve them, and by so doing change her and themselves. The Demiruges (despite all the outward growth of power) never actually change. They remain and are static, if not in powers then in personality. I think if anything this comic is trying to show the power that comes from change.

They are very good at Ki Rata and very bad at knowing what betrayal looks like. However, I wonder if this is what will undo Salami Dave as well. He is so used to being the biggest fish that something very unexpected happening means he is completely thrown off.

That's fair. Speaking of, I read recently about Neo-Confucianism and all I can say is holy gently caress, Confucianism may well be weird as heck in some aspects and Legalism may be bad but never really practised, but Neo-Confucianism just seems to be mainlining misogyny in a horrifying manner.

God I love the Tang. The bit where Taizong basically undoes every Confucian virtue (murders own brother, locks dad up in a home) and then proceeds to rule pretty well is just  .Every bit of them is just flagrantly co-opting stuff. It's just wonderful.

The one that will become the Argrath must be stopped. Because they are ultimately not Arkat. Arkat understood and, having committed vast crimes and terrible miracles, retired. He did what no other being could do and made a place for himself in a world that, whilst changed, remained. Argrath will not allow what has changed to remain and will not accept that the Red Moon and himself share similarities. He will succeed not by Synthesis but through utter ruination. Albeit the Red Moon deserves it, because who doesn't want to kick the ever loving poo poo out of the Romans, but Argrath will make no real distinction and will not meet with the moon goddess as Arkat did with Nysalor. I also love that Orlanth and Arkat both have something similar in themselves. They both make mistakes and try to fix them and, at the end, choose to step back a bit and let others come to the fore. On to K6BD chat, but I would love to see Voss show up behind Incubus and scare the ever loving gently caress out of him.

Zoss is a failure, but I think he is not the first or last failure to create something. I think he wants Alison to be better than him, and to not attain Royalty through cutting. He wants her to obtain Royalty not through power or strength alone, but in part through weakness.

He's not trying to "reset" anything. He is trying to do the far more difficult thing of encouraging growth through it. He know's he failed, and so knows that strength alone will not make him victorious. 6/7 Juggs is right, but in a very important way they are also completely wrong. Because they view all of reality as a constant struggle and hate everything about it, they are the ones who want a reset. They wish the universe to be "clean" to be "purified" but such a thing is impossible, instead Zoss represents a way to learn from failure, not to salt the earth and learn nothing from it.
