I think it's too early to try and theorize about the killer. There's not much information and barely any of the side characters have been developed. I bet they are going to go into the room the next episode now that they know the killer isn't in there, which might reveal some clues. I was actually thinking about that but decided it was too crazy and didn't say anything. I'll go for it's all an elaborate suicide to set up a "game" for the others after her death.
