Roarke sneaks forward, leaving behind her torch in order to not draw attention. As she moves forward, she hears a clanking sound coming from up around the corner. Staying low and close to the wall, she peeks around the corner, where she spots what is causing the sound - three humans, hammering on the cavern wall with picks. Another man, dressed in more fashionable and well made clothing than the ones hammering on the wall, seems to be deep in conversation with an ogre, the pair of them apparently overseeing the other three. The large maul the ogre is leaning on is likely the cause of death for the kobolds near the entrance to the cavern.

"So... there's a human and also an ogre. Does the... dangerous creature thing override the humans? I mean if we attack the ogre the humans will retaliate, so should we try to talk them into leaving and also have that cover the ogre? The ambush is quickly plan and put into practice. With the ogre facing away from the darkness, they had little to worry about it's darkvision, and the adventurers are able to make their way up to the limit of the torchlight. Unfortunately, that is where their luck fails, as Cal accidentally kicks a rock, sending it skittering across the ground, and the well-dressed man notices their approach. "Foes!" he shouts.

Cal charges at the ogre, and her blade lands a cut along his arm as he turns to face her. Roarke's charge against the well-dressed man does not fair as well, as he nimbly avoids the attack. He glares for a moment, then forms his own glowing blade, this one a bright red. He slashes at her, nearly landing a blow that would have severed her arm had Roarke not twisted and managed to turn it into merely a moderate wound.
