You can tell because it says "Microsoft" on it, if it doesn't or says something else it's a knockoff that will probably be a bitch to get to work even on a PC and that will almost certainly not work with a Steam Link. My $8 knockoff has worked with the Link with no issue thus far v  v

Although there's no guarantee that all knockoffs will work I suppose. at any rate, I went to Best Buy today in search of a new 360 controller with the better D-pad, and found them selling the original controller with the official dongle for less, so now I have a spare
