Listened to it yesterday for the first time and I didn't think too highly of it. I'll give it another few listens because whenever a new album comes out I never really appreciate it first time because I'm too impatient to see what the next song will be like, if that makes sense.

Edit: Still not liking it after a second listen. I think it's pretty weak, nothing really memorable or stand out in my opinion. I liked The Next Day quite a bit but I'm not getting anything from Blackstar unfortunately.

I've been waiting for years in the hope that he'd do one last tour. I never got to see him live and that'll be one of my lifetime regrets.

The Man Who Sold the World is a good album. All the Madmen, Black Country Rock, Running Gun Blues, She Shook Me Cold and the title track are all great songs imo.

Just listening to Young Americans, replacing It's Gonna Be Me with Across the Universe was such a bad idea IMO. That song is so freaking good and would have made for a perfect album.

Heathen is really good. I like Slow Burn and Sunday a lot.

Slow Burn is great. The first time I listened to it I thought "this guitar sounds exactly like Pete Townshend would" and it was.

I'm a superfan of both Bowie and Nirvana and I think it's a good cover. Midge Ure's is the best though, but I'm not a Midge Ure superfan.

Edit: Here's the SNL version
