What really got me into this site like a million years ago was the movie reviews they Jack Frost 2 - this movie scared me when I was a kid so reading someone taking the piss out of it was pretty cool. Quote from the review - '...realizes that their bonfire on the beach is dying down. She does the only sensible thing at that point, which is to get up and "look for coal." Once again, I'd like to point out the fact that despite the massive amounts of brain damage I suffered while watching this film, I am NOT making this up. My favorite articles are a pair of teleplay scripts for the surrealist detective show Yellowjacket Greenapple, which was in turn inspired by one particular clothing ad in this Retro Fashion SWAT. You can also see the model for The Optimist in that SWAT. Well, that's one of my favorites. Gimme a while to remember more, I have a ton.

Each article has an evil mastermind silently review their henchman temp agency's updates on their recent hires after their most recent nefarious deed. You are left to piece together how the evil plan went down. They never got collected into a proper series, so here are the rest. Read along and watch as the fortunes of Adverse Interests, LLC rise and fall. Mostly fall.

Oh, I forgot all about the Awful Movie Database. I love all the little things about it that perfectly pastiches IMDB, like how all the plot tags have been co-opted by creepy fetishists create a catalog people can browse to find every movie featuring puppets with hair, and women brushing the hair of a puppet. The AMD articles have layers.

Everything from The Great Authors Series, but especially the ones for Ayn Rand, Slavoj Žižek, and Richard Dawkins. And William Gibson. And, uh, Maya Angelou. And I can't leave out Edgar Allan Poe or Frank Herbert, can I? poo poo, Zack did so many of these things, and they were all great. I just wish he'd gotten around to Raymond Chandler.
