They either drop the 64 bit positioning from SQ42 and use Star Marine for the FPS, which means they have to fix Star Marine so I don't think that's a goer. Or they drop 64 bit positioning from SQ42 and redo FPS with it all in 32 bit, I don't think they'd do that either. Or they add FPS elements to the large world 64 bit positioning 2.0 and use them for SQ42, this is what they've said they are doing, I think this is the most likely outcome not because they said it but because 2.0 currently works offline and CIG having something that actually works is a miracle. It's also going to solve all their instance and networking problems. Considering SQ42 is meant to be a spaceship game I fully expect the FPS to gradually become less and less important as they run out of time over the next 35 weeks.
