I put $35 towards this two years ago. How do I get in on crashing ships into other ships? I probably have whatever the cheapest ship is, if that makes a difference.

I'd give :fivebux: to whoever writes 500 words about how Star Citizen will save socialism

I wrote a thing for you, give me an avatar to mark this lovely, momentous occasion, or not, I don't care really.

If we look at the case study that is the lovely Microsoft Paint, live-action, imagination station, space simulator Star Citizen,  it is quite clear how it is indicative of the broader issues with capitalism. Capitalism usually rests on the idea of con men at least having to somewhat disguise their fleecing attempts, but hero of PC gaming Chris Roberts, lovingly referred to as space-trump by his admirers, has changed this paradigm. He makes know effort to hide his efforts to suck money from the masses using promises of fake spaceships. It’s reminds me of some sitcom I remember from the 90s where someone gets a picture of a car instead of a real car for their birthday, and they were very upset and the laugh track was queued. In this modern era, people are thrilled to get that car picture and if the laugh track is queued people will come out and scream incoherently in your ear until you leave the studio.

This is the state of capitalism, it is no longer about trading goods for services, it is about trading goods for the possibility that maybe you will get services. But instead, you have a drink with Chris Roberts and wake up with no memory of what happened and get mad at any one who suggested that maybe Chris took advantage of you the night before. Then you double-down and keep going over to his house for drinks. If this is the end-game of capitalism, it is surely only a matter of time before the entire system breaks down and the one-percent of the one-percent have all the money while the poors are busy subsisting on pictures of food, driving to work in pictures of cars and working on pictures of computers in cardboard boxes with pictures of office buildings on them.

This terrifying reality is why Chris Roberts and Star Citizen are actually the savior of socialism. In this current age of globalization, people would have you believe that the pie is increasing for everyone and socialism is not relevant. One thing we know now changes this assessment, if there is pie, Chris Robert will eat it. We cannot let Chris Roberts eat the pie, we must vote for Bernie Sanders now and implement socialist reforms. These jpeg lovers are our canary in the coal mine, we cannot allow capitalism, Chris Roberts and Star Citizen to undermine the future of our children any longer.

This terrifying reality that is fast approaching must galvanize people everywhere to stand against trading money for imaginary things, and supporting the implementation of checks and balances on the capitalist system that allows for jpeg-purchasing. Any funds that can be usurped before they go up Chris Roberts nose must be used to create a safety net of rehabilitation centers and halfway houses to get people the help they need. This can be the turning point, only the adaptation of socialist methods can save us from the terrifying reality that is full, fake space-capitalism. If our society does not turn to our savior Bernie Sanders, there will be no earth left to fight for, just a jpeg with some coke on it.

It contained no statement about how I would treat them. Well, you see, the servers themselves have the capacity for basically an unlimited number of players, because servers are magic things made out of pure video game. The issue is that the client-side processes are dependent on the users' hardware setups, and that causes a bandwidth bottleneck that limits the amount of nano-location-threading that can be piped to the client. Because nano-location-threading is very viscous, if the servers continue to try and force their unlimited fidelity to the client, the Borgnine Technical Refractors get all clogged up and have to be defrunged to keep working, which is just beyond the technical limitations of client-side hardware.

I know this because it's not very different from the job I do for the government.

Ah, the old nano location threading problem

Well that will definitely be solved when this game comes out in six years and my monitor has more ram

Now if they put together a video of this is how they would be a dick in game, add it to the issue council and say "hey RSI this is how we are pirating, can you keep this in mind to build a counter for it for in system police", that would be acceptable. I don't mean don't let them do it, just make there be a punishment for doing so, but what they are doing is exploiting a partially built system.

You guys are just not getting this physics discussion. We're talking about

If you are on a train traveling 60 mph and you fire a bullet forward at 60 mph then you have to account for Doppler effect.

The formula is this:

df = (dv/c)f0

As we all know, the symbol for frequency, f, is just a lower case version of force, F.

Since a lower case letter is mathematically equivalent to half of an upper case letter we get

dF/2 = (dv/c)(F0/2)

We can simplify this by multiplying both sides by 2

dF=(dv/c)F0

Since F0 is 0 before the gun is fired, that means that after the gun is fired dF=(dv/c)(0)=0

So there is no force applied and the bullet doesn't leave the gun. Therefore, since the velocity of the bullet leaving the gun is 0, as it does not leave the gun, the train now can't stop ever.

Finally some solid physics that Sheldon cooper can get behind
