I see Derek is testing Star Citizen PvP system.

Backers complained that they didn't want to lose their ships to ramming, scamming, and/or asshattering.

So the development team listened.

Currently, PvP is conducted via litigation, court orders, and lawsuits.

Please report any bugs and feedback you may have on the PvP system.

Hey Karl. Let me vette.

I got a WC FMV helmet prop. A gift from Lesnick for making sure he was comfortable and welcome in Austin. poo poo I still have his wife's desert plants she game me too.
I asked CR about his movie industry credentials at the GDC reveal. Somehow, that seems pertinent.
I was there all day and night at the 24 hour "end-of-funding" (hahaha) livestream. I provided the champagne, CR's milk for his espresso, and several other food runs to keep everyone going.
I'm in the picture of "The Pledge". You remember this thing?

I did the stage management at the first CitCon in Austin alongside Viewmaster.
I was on Wingman's Hangar. And I did a lot of production assistance whenever they needed it.
Dr. Hawk interviewed me long long long ago, ID'ed as one of THE INVESTORS. It was no big deal back then.
I AM THE ONE WHO LAMPS.

I was, and still am to a certain extent, one of the spergiest Wing Commander spergs. I kinda consider myself Patient Zero to this whole Star Citizen thing.

And yet I feel something is wrong. Something wrong enough to warrant action.

That's him with the espresso!

So they got their early investors to play the waiters? That's perhaps why people spend thousands of dollars on spaceship pics. "Here, please sign this contract. Ah yes the money, thanks. Now please could you serve me an espresso? And go buy some beer."

If this is real, you're the biggest idiot I ever came across. I can't stop laughing. But hey this raess guy in the forum tend to believe you, perhaps I should tell him about this new discovery.

Ok, let's get this straight:
A public picture is proof for you being an investor? That might be enough for DS, but not for me. Why don't you show us the signed contract? This shouldn't matter anyway after you identified yourself and acknowledged that Sandi is a racist motherfucking bitch.
If they don't slap you in the face for what you did here they never ever won't.
But please just bring me the milk, would you?

Yes, idiots and faith in Star Citizen tend to overlap. I won't deny I was a bit enthusiastic, but I like to think that the early days of production was a cooperative existence where everyone pitched in to help where they can, even if it was just a simple run to the corner shop.

But I suppose my evidence is circumstantial and vague at worst. I won't blame you for taking something said on an internet comedy forum at face value.

Best thing to do would be to ask Chris Roberts, Ortwin Freyermuth, Sandi Gardiner, David Swafford, Eric Peterson, Richard Garriott, Erin Roberts, Travis Day, Rob Irving, and/or Ben Lesnick. If you feel uncomfortable speaking to management, production, and/or design leads, then you can ask Pete Mackay, Michael Morlan, Chris Smith, Chris Olivia, James Pugh, Jenny Varner, Brendan Jackson, Jason Spangler, and/or Mark Skelton. Failing that, you can talk to Bluestreak, Dr. Hawk, Logante, Kimshadow, Wulf, and/or Manic if you're terrified of speaking to anyone of importance. If you don't want to know who you ask, just email CS with the subject "OMFG THIS GUY THINKS HE'S AN INVESTOR".

I invite you to speak to any of them as to my status as an investor. But I wouldn't wait long to do that.

Also don't ask the brown sea, my entire facade as an investor will crumble away and expose my inner nougaty house of lies I've built up for 3+ years if you do that. Don't tell them that some nerd on the internet claims to be an investor and he wants out. Don't tell them he's leaving because he's lost faith in CR's ability to deliver a product as well as verifying for himself some allegations leveled at CIG by Derek Smart, the Escapist, and other media outlets. Don't tell them it's not too late to reconsider the amount of wealth they've put into this product.

Don't tell them to ask questions.

That would be horrible.

And un-Citizen-like.

I'll post lyrics later today.

As for length, I abide by "Never overstay your welcome". Short, crisp, and to the point. Plus it makes managing the project easier when all you have is a minute plus worth of video to edit.

And ruining a song that would otherwise praise SC is worth it.

I think the worst, most telling barometer in this whole thing is who Chris Roberts has chased away from his old Origin/DA posse.

Eric Peterson, with him at the beginning at Origin, at DA, with CIG. Left.
Travis Day, son of the Elder Day, long time Origin and DA and CIG. Left.
Martin Galway, Origin and DA. Forced to leave.
George Oldziey, Origin, didn't even get so much as a sideways glance after 6 months.
Rob Irving, Origin, left shortly after Eric.

These were the guys that backed CR and his project, or at least signed on slightly later saying "I'm sure we can do this".

I never really talked to Tony, he was always busy when I was at the Austin office. I can't imagine what's going through his head, should the downsizing/obsolescence of the Austin office come true.

As I've been finding out, the echoes of my own investigation got around and I've been hearing from other ex-Origin folks who knew CR to be a Hollywood wanna-be and what's happening is kinda close to what development went through with WC4.

Beyond actors looking for work, I can't think of any Hollywood-era CR folks backing him up.

Lesnick is the only one I can think of from Origin days that still stands beside CR. Considering how much of his life he's dedicated to keeping Wing Commander semi-relevant, both in material preservation and the CIC site itself, I'm not sure he can tear himself away from the project. He moved from Maryland to Austin to LA in the span of 3 years, all while getting married. I can't imagine Ben and Alexis are comfortable. Honestly, I think he's as fed up with this project as I am. But he's the nerd jester in CR's court, being told to dance. And he will, it's a job.

It's all just... poo poo.
