I did the thing where you cheat engine your way into 2.0 singleplayer and uhhhhhh... Its enlightening you know, but not really in a good way. Immediately as I ran down the steps my head clipped through the wall and I could see out of the level, then I fell to the side of a walkway where I struggled to get out for 30 minutes, then I got to the computer area and the menu to select my ship didn't work at all so I spam clicked and pressed F to pay respects repeatedly until it magically showed some ships, I selected one and it spawned outside and was broken. The quantum drive locations didn't show up on the hud so I spawned another ship and they showed up but weren't labeled. I flew to 5-6 of them and they were all antenna activation missions, playing the same voice overs, with the same scripted dogfight. After turning them on I went back to Port Olisar and my camera was tilted at 45 degrees, another one of the same bugs which have been in the game for two years, another reminder that every moment in-game is an insufferable experience of bugs and glitches in a dark sterile and uninspiring spaceworld. I'm not seeing the magic nor the appeal.

Who knows though, they've said pretty much everything at this point. Actually I seem to remember them saying both the captured person could have npc pirates and could escape and the pirates could have a captured person, the instances break off into two separate things. lol. Which given performance currently makes complete sense of course! Multiple universes for every possible decision!

The whole time he fought with the controls, asking a random guy to plugin his xbox controller to the computer sitting right beside him. After spending 15 minutes to get a lovely broken ship with horrible controls the game crashed the first chance he had to fly. Chris concluded by promising to fix the chat interface.  yea, it was pretty loving bad lol

I find it amusing CIG spends $5000 on desks and chairs from a designer furniture store and then commissions abstract art plastic controllers with bright colors that look like they're made by nerf as the official peripheral set to their game.
