And in the past these big events where there are only big events where we showcased alot of this stuff...but because we have now increased the visual stats for AtV so much, because we're showing so much every single week on AtV, those points have to come out of other places, so live streams like gamescom or citizencon or our anniversary live stream, they won't have as great an impact as they would in the past, because in the past it would be like finding a gallon of dry water in the middle of a dry desert, it's now like finding a gallon of water in the middle of a rainstorm.

Sadly, our PATREON ACCOUNT was also compromised. If you support INN on Patreon you should stop, the money is no longer connected to the fund used to pay for our expenses. We are working with Patreon to regain control but it is possible we will need to set up a completely new account.

Sadly, I’ve learned the team was ignoring many requests to participate with INN and I feel terrible about this. I will be following up on every one as soon as I can. These are actually pretty easy to explain and none of them have anything to do with me not wanting us to be successful, or deliver the best possible experience to everyone on the team and in our community. I'm sure everyone will be shocked to learn that, as the leader of INN, I always wanted the best for everyone involved...It's easier to be successful that way.
Compared to the rest of the team, it is true that my bandwidth is very constrained. It's always been that way. I have an incredibly demanding career which involves a lot of travel. I'm also over 40 years old I don't have as much energy as I used to, but I have almost 20 years of experience building successful web content platforms and I was shared this expertise with the team freely, in lieu of my time.
This year I've developed serious health issues which I'd rather not get into in detail, but I will share that between multiple doctor's appointments and diagnostic appointments I've spent about 8 hours a month in hospitals for the last year. My problems also make me very tired and sometimes I have difficulty talking.
Unfortunately, nobody I trusted enough with the keys to our server (Eric and David) have the technical competency to make some of the changes I also wanted to make, to improve the site's stability and make it possible for multiple people to safely work on the site. This may sound sort fo technical and but I never expected INN to take off the way it did so it was not originally created in an environment which could safely handle with multiple developers. For instance, there was no source control. Ironically, the moment I did trust someone (NYXT) he stole the entire code base and put it on a server I don't have access to, and then deleted my copy. Fortunately, I had a daily backup copy.
A word on timing: Sorry for the rambling nature of these comments, but I am incredibly hurt. For 2 years we collected barely enough money to cover the cost of our infrastructure. This year, I decided to use half of that money to pay for a big house in LA to help the team come out for citizencon. As you can see in the other string, because of the date that David and whoever else hatched this plan to grab INN, they knew at least as early as September they were planning this out. Yet the team came to LA and accepted my hospitality...Ate dinner that I bought and drinks I bought, while my wife sat at home missing me all weekend.
And nobody said a word to me. Yes it's true, yesterday, in a moment of complete shock, I said I won't fight them...But I wasn't even sure yet what I was fighting them on. That's because they sprung this on me at 9AM with no warning, David and Eric said I had no choice, they were cutting me out and I just had to accept it. And then I later learned the site had moved and my own server was vandalized. They had been planning this for months...And I seemingly had no leverage. Could I take them to court? Of course...I am the majority owner of INN Publishing and the CEO. But that would take months of time and lots of money. Once I discovered the conniving nature of their take over plan, I had to act fast...And quietly, to regain control of the site.
So yes...I want something in return for my original investment in this organization, as well as all the other contributions I've made over the years that NYXT didn't see, because he wasn't in all the meetings I had with my co founders, nor privy to anything I was doing behind the scenes with my money, and time, to make INN the best we could make it. Could I have done more? Absolutely. And I wish I did. But do I deserve to be 'flushed out the airlock' because I was trying to balance being a good leader of INN with being a good husband, and a good brother, and a good employee, etc? I leave that to you to decide.

You just can't tell with CIG, are they lying or are they really that poo poo at what they do? I didn't get a satisfactory result until after I'd made a PayPal dispute. Coincidence? I'm interested in refund stories to see if there's a pattern of this, or if the excuses they give add up etc.
