Is there a HomeKit thread? I’m trying to figure out why neither of my Apple TVs show up in HomeKit.

It just seems a little odd that you can’t do that though. I do love my 4K box though. Altos Adventure is great fun on the big screen.

The last straw was watching MLB.tv and their cool new “Catch Up” feature where if you want to watch a game already in progress you can choose “Catch Up” and it will show you quick clips of all the big plays in the game so far. They’re typically like 7 second clips so the 3 seconds of black screen every few seconds were maddening. Hmm I haven’t noticed that when using the catch up feature. I’ll try it in a few and see if it does it on my LG 4K Side note the catch up feature is an awesome addition.

Shame they mismanaged themselves into oblivion, because it should’ve been a hit. Kinda but not exactly. It uses your PC to run the games so you don’t pay anything for the service and you can run pretty much any game that steam has.

So if you live in a neighborhood where there's multiple households that own Apple TVs, you can see other people's. Sometimes when trying to connect to mine I see a neighbor's, which is named "Royal Chambers". I live in a row of townhouses and I used to have a roku 3 before my ATV4k. I learned the hard way that the Roku was set up out of the box to let anyone access it. My S/O was working at home when someone decided to start playing porn on our TV. So yeah...

I am happy wit these minor updates really. I really like my ATV4K its a great little box. I tried to go cheap and get the high end Roku 4k and it really was just s poo poo show. It wouldn't do HDR to save my life and the PQ wasn't nearly as good as the ATV4k. Yeah the ATV is more expensive but really you kinda get what you pay for here. Add in the Airplay 2 stuff its just that much better at this point.

I'll check that out. Ok ok actual unfunny reply if you have iTunes you can do it pretty easy.  Just pick delete from library. You can go back into your account and unhide it at anytime.

The Apple TV app seems a lot smoother than the Roku version too, to no surprise. Part of the reason I made the switch from the Roku was because of how poo poo the app was on the device. Yeah my tv is almost brand new and CEC works about 95% of the time. If it worked all the time I could put the stupid tv remote in a drawer but I guess we ain’t quite there yet

I swear to god the Netflix app gets worse every time they touch it. Like the My list and continue watching lists are almost always never in the same place and it’s beyond frustrating. They added that side bar thing and I feel like that’s almost worse I dunno.

It’s the app. If there is an issue it’s almost always the app. I had terrible luck with PSView and moved on to DTVnow which seems to work “better”
