watched dope last night and did some sketches while watching the movie. turns out scrawling on the page while watching the movie is not a good way to capture likenesses haha, but i liked the one on the bottom left.

decided to follow up today and do a drawing of kiersey clemons, maybe 15-20 mins from reference. the shoulders are off but i think i got the likeness in the face. might turn this one into a painting

WIP for giving a watercolour canvas a shot - watercolours, still incredibly difficult. its like painting in reverse a bit?

Had a lot of fun incorporating some of Tim Jessel's coloring techniques into this one.

started this one ages ago, throwing down some black linework to clean it up... really should have used the right kind of paper from the beginning :|

the coloring and line quality and whatnot are nice but the barbie doll proportions/complexion/hair kinda take me out of the scene a little bit

yeah i didnt really love the proportions, i kept going with this one as a bit of a pose/lighting practice. i might re-do it on proper watercolour paper and give her a more athletic build
