I smoked the monster arena with killing machines and golems until I reached rank s which is really tough. I'll return later, I should probably do more main quest stuff, I've spent a while just flying around. I found multiple platforms with hella liquid metal slimes

Should I be excited about DQVIII for 3DS, I've never played a dragon quest. It looks pretty cool but I hear the series is very grindy.

I bought it for my phone thinking I can have a new JRPG gmae on the go and then it turns out it's not that great on a phone (I finished all of FF5 and FFt on my phone lol)

Oh if you haven't played DQVIII. You can burn a turn to psyche up which adds a multiplier to your next action, whether it's attack or healing. you can stack these up to 4 times for higher multipliers, but enemies can wipe it out. Most of the bosses are built around an ebb and flow of timing your tension attacks

you get a bonus ending if you beat the optional post game bosses. Don't let them reopen your rear end wounds with their toughness though.
