Peep Show is a fantastic show that’s on Channel 4. The complete series is currently on Netflix which is how I got introduced to the show. The show focuses on the day to day life of Mark and Jeremy (Jez) two flat mates living in Croydon South London. One of the most striking features of the show is the way it's filmed. It's filmed from a constantly changing first person perspective. For example when Mark and Jeremy are talking to each other the camera is from Marks perspective when Jeremy is talking and vice versa Mark Corrigan Mark is a loan manager who is honestly a pretty lovely human. He’s a pretty typical goon, he’s socially awkward, bad at sex and his idea of pursuing a woman is to stalk her. Mark went to Dartmouth University where he met Jeremy. They were roommates and beyond all odds became friends. Together they are called the “El Dude Brothers”. Mark owns his flat but allowed Jeremy to move in after he and his girlfriend Big Suze broke up Jeremy Usborne Jeremy is a “musician” and free loader who lives with Mark. His idea of a good time is doing drugs and banging every woman he possibly can. He also went to Dartmouth University where he was roommates with Mark. He somehow graduated with a degree in Nursing but hates the job once he does it. One of the best aspects of Jeremy is his fluid sexuality that he constantly denies. One of my favorite quotes is “4 guys? I’ve had sex with more than 4 guys and I’m basically straight.” Super Hans Super Hans is by far one of the best characters in the show. Super Hans is Jeremys best friend. He is constantly on drugs and always changing the name of him and Jeremys band. Super Hans is my favorite character and he will be your favorite character Other Supporting Characters: Alan Johnson – Marks boss at JLB (the loan company Mark works for) Sophie Chapman – The object of Marks misguided affection Jeff Heaney – Marks co-worker, always an rear end in a top hat to him Big Suze – Jeremys ex-girlfriend. Mentioned a lot in the first 3 seasons, doesn’t actually show up until season 3 Seasons 1 – 8 are already on Netflix and are well worth the watch. Each episode runs about 25 minutes and there are only 6 episodes per season so it’s a very fast watch. Season 9 (final season) starts on November 11th. This thread will be in honor of the final season of Peep Show, please post your favorite quotes (of which there are many), favorite episodes and favorite minor characters (GERARD!) that appear throughout the show. EDIT: And of course I was so excited to make this thread I forgot the loving tag SalTheBard fucked around with this message at 07:26 on Nov 7, 2015 |

I read about using the Hola extension in Chrome to change your region to UK and then watch on Channel 4s website. I'll try that and report back for the American audience Edit: gently caress Jerry Hola extension in Chrome works great for watching on Channel 4s website. Steve2911 posted:Rewatching series 8 (which is actually a lot better than I remember), why did Dobby moving in require Jez to immediately move out? Could Mark not have bought a double bed? I think Series 8 is great. Life Coaching, Vanity Publishing, Paint Balling, it's all very funny. Like others have said, I think Marks apartment is just way too small for 3 people.

O man that whole scene was really funny. I thought everything after the girlfriend got to the apartment was great. I really hope we get to see Jez's threeism explode horribly. Jez as a life coach is amazing.

Peep Show Series 9 Episode 4 Mole-Mapping - Mark's determination to get the woman of his dreams isn't hindered by the fact that she has a husband. After this one we only have 2 more episodes left. I have some thoughts on the premise, but I'll wait until after I watch the episode.

I will preface this by saying that I haven't watched the episode yet, but here are some thoughts about what I presume the plot to be about. My biggest gripe is that Mark hasn't mentioned April since her appearance in Series 2. Why all of a sudden is he pining after her? It just seems to be a total cop out. I have faith that this storyline will be fine in the end, but it just seems off putting to me.

I know I mentioned he was a Nurse in the OP, but that was only because I had to look up the spelling of his last name on Wikipedia (I couldn't remember which was the correct way Usborne or Osborne). I know it said he was a Nurse but when did he actually talk about being a Nurse?

It's hard to pick 3, but I can pick one that I loving love and its "the party". Everything about that episode is great "red and yella, cuddly fella. Red next to black, jump the gently caress back". Gerrard getting totally pissed, Marks lasagna. All the primary characters get a good bit. We also get Mark dreaming of Nanas cottage. I also really like The Holiday, Quantocking, Business Secrets of the Pharoahs, The Gym, and Jeremy Makes It (aka Marks new friend).

Khablam posted:It's entirely lifted, with content from the first 2/3 UK episodes as source. It also bizarrely changed a few things that makes me think they might have changed direction slightly, or dragged the romance out longer. If I could watch it in a quality that didn't look like 1980s bootleg VHS it might not be as bad, that being said literally everything about it was terrible. I think I laughed once and the rest of the time I was floored that someone was paid to write that.

After about 24 hours of reflection, I agree that the threeway plot really didn't get explored. When people started showing up for Jeremys birthday I was hoping to see Nancy, Elana, Zahara, the Monk, Big Suze and maybe even Toni. That would've really nailed it for me. But as Jeremy pointed out most of the people that Jeremy knows he's hosed over

I feel like purposefully setting yourself up to get pregnant by a guy you hate and then abandon said child to go out drinking is a pretty terrible thing to do. That being said Jeremy killing Mummy on accident and then eating BBQ dog was pretty terrible.
