XIII posted:Google must really hate the Hangouts team lol, the whole reason i used hangouts is that i have terrible signal in my office and could still text my wife and friends who know how to use hangouts via wifi, but not have to communicate with, like, my mom and other olds who only know how to sms with a totally separate app. Integration was the whole selling point of it for me. As much as I'm loathe to repurchase all the apps I have on my android, and as much as I'll miss the customization of using third party launchers and stuff, I may very well just have to go iPhone next upgrade. I'd like to be on an ecosystem that doesn't constantly take steps backwards for no reason.

The soft keyboard on my surface pro 3 blows massively to the point that I basically never write text with it without the keyboard. If I didn't have terrible goonlord handwriting I might use the handwriting recognition instead, but here we are.

I never see them in my browser because uBlock+noscript pretty effectively blocks all the cdns they get served from, but they're unavoidable in the android app. Judging from the surveys I've been getting recently I'm pretty demographically valuable to them, so I end up with ads before nearly every video I watch on my phone.
