It's amazing what they can do with computers these days.

Kind of wondering whether UNC will jump both ISU and Kansas to #3 after beating the Terps, or if KU moves to 3rd, ISU to 4th, and UNC to 5th. That win has to give them a big bump.

They essentially don't matter ever. It's not like the committee bases seeding off the AP poll. Just speculating on them is all. I'm not used to seeing ISU this high.

You keep saying this, and all it does is make me more and more nervous. ISU struggled against the Illini, so Iowa could definitely stick around.

N: ISU beat Iowa by coming back from 20 points down

V: :smuggo:

Also, ISU has not played like a top 5 team the last few games, not even a top 10 team really. They play rushed on offense and have been turning the ball over a bunch, or taking bad shots. Sometimes I feel the up-tempo offense just causes these guys to go flying without any direction. Defense has gotten a little better than last year, but they still have the same pattern of letting bad teams hang around, or have to make big comebacks.

The thing is that ISU hasn't been there. Being ranked this high, this early in the season is very rare for ISU. Plus I think ISU students are used to rushing the field/storming the court for any exciting win, especially one over Iowa. If they had won by 10, it never would have happened. poo poo, I was jumping up and down in my living room.

Lest we all forget what happened at K-State last year. It will get talked about for a couple weeks, and then we'll all forget about it and storm some more courts.

Considering an assist to turnover ratio of 3.33 would be pretty good, that stat is kind of ridiculous, even for early season.

Naz Long from ISU is out for the year with a hip injury. He was not shooting very well so far this year, but they were pretty thin as it is, even with Burton joining the roster.

Just saw this and it sucks. He was a deep ball guy for us, but he has been hurting and it showed. ISU was going to be 8 deep most games but this will make it 7. Can't afford any other injuries.

If we had to lose a starter he was the one to lose but it is still a big hit. I wonder if they'll give him another year.

Hopefully he does get the year. Agreed that he was probably the one guy ISU could lose, especially since Matt Thomas has been looking really good lately.

N: ISU won on the road at Cincinnati.

V: It was opposite day for ISU because they actually built a lead in the 1st half and then lost it in the second. Still a very good game because they fell behind, but still came back for the win with the crowd going nuts. ISU doesn't go on the road to face top 25 too often during non-con play, and this win really eased my anxiety after the UNI loss. That UNI loss wasn't too bad really considering they shot like crazy that game, plus UNI is pretty good. One more tune up game then at OU, which is not the easiest way to start Big 12 play.
