We will fight them to the last. And we will defend those that cannot defend themselves. Today we fight, brothers and sisters. Today we stand up and never, ever relent. Brothers and sisters -- prepare yourselves. Today we go to WAR!

Lipstick Apathy

I was big into a lot of the bands mentioned here at some point (I'm 37, what would you expect?) but one that I feel like never got the attention it deserved was Machines of Loving Grace. Granted, they only did 3 albums, and the first one wasn't even that good. Concentration and Gilt, however, were loving excellent.

I feel like MoLG's self-titled album had a lot more going for it than Gilt, even if it was basically just their demo tape. Gilt had the problem of Sylvia Massy taking over production and trying to make the band sound like Undertow-era Tool instead of running with their industrial beatniks thing.

Word.

Concentration is just as good as Floodland and deserved to be treated as such. If you like MOLG, check out Course of Empire's first album

All three Course of Empire albums are quite good. It's a real shame they packed it when they did. Used to see them regularly when I lived in Dallas.

TOO EASY

This thread needs more Kyuss love. Welcome to Sky Valley was such a solid album. Space Cadet leading into Demon Cleaner is one of my favorite double-shots on an album, rivaling STP's No Memory/Sin.

Pioneers of 90s desert rock and a precursor to Queens of the Stone Age, later reformed as Kyuss Lives! but changed the name to Vista Chino due to a QotSA lawsuit, but still making music.

It's a piece of JUNK!

This is some pretty cool stuff. "Atlanta" was actually the first song I posted when I heard Scott died.

The STP webpage also includes two Soundcloud links of the full band take and just vocals + orchestra.

I know part of Scott's thing was the emulate other artists (namely Cobain) for some songs, but he has a spot on "if Jim Morrison and David Bowie had a baby" thing in this song
