I guess if you need a super-sharp display to scan through dozens of patients' x-rays and find the one that has a tumor, or you're trying to determine what is happening inside the brain of a child that got slammed into by a car while riding his bicycle, a $5k display that's extremely high quality makes sense. It's being used for literal life-and-death decisions.
