Even though it took like 20 minutes to download a song and about half an hour to burn a CD, so total time for one CD of downloaded songs was like 5 1/2 hours. One of my friends tried to convince 4 or 5 of us to all go in on a CD burner. We were going to make our money back burning/selling music CDs .

The day the final missing piece of the 80+ 1.2mb sections of Macromedia Director came across usenet alt.binaries.whatever after painstakingly collecting them for months on a dial-up modem was one of the happiest days of my life.
