Watching the video of Bettman grumbling out to give Scott his check, he walks out, slams the check on the ground, and waves  over as if to say "Come get your dumb check, I don't really want to be doing this.". Kind of like at the end of Slap Shot with "Come get your dumb trophy.".This is the man the league picked to run the show for the next six years.

It's a shame they already did the filming for it, because if they'd waited another year I bet they'd hastily rewrite the story to be John Scott's biography. Everyone loves a story about the little guy fighting the establishment and winning the trophy at the end. Not that they always do something with those rights, but they typically gobble that stuff up anyways.

Patrick Kane grinning in the bottom left owns. Everything about that photo is awesome. Scott earned his two goals though, they weren't pity goals. Fan and player reaction to the whole thing was fuckin' awesome. That's the loudest I've ever heard a crowd be at an all star game for mvp. Was Disney levels of heart warming
